This 8 core floating cable is an ROV Tether. It is neutrally buoyant, has a breaking strength of 400kg , and is embedded with water blocking fibers to seal any leaks. The core of the cable contains Kevlar wire for strength and polyester wire for space filling. Both fibers are impregnated with a waterproofing compound to prevent any leakage caused by nicks or cracks in the cable.
